Public drop-in event to help shape the town’s future

Public drop-in event to help shape the town’s future

On Thursday 25th September between 3pm and 6pm, the doors of Grimsby Central Hall will be open for a free public drop-in event. This is a chance to share ideas for Grimsby’s future and celebrate the people who are working to build it.

A people-powered plan for Grimsby

Grimsby has secured £20 million over the next ten years through the national Plan for Neighbourhoods programme. It’s a huge opportunity and what makes it even more exciting is the way it’s being shaped, together.

So far, 80 people from across the town have stepped forward to begin writing the plan. Their energy is inspiring, but they want to hear your ideas for Grimsby’s future. Every perspective matters, and this is an open invitation to be part of something that belongs to the whole community.

What to expect

At the drop-in, there will be a chance to:

  • See the story so far and discover the progress already made.
  • Explore the eight themes guiding the plan.
  • Find out about the new Legacy Fund, designed to create lasting benefits for the town.
  • A chance for you to share your vision for Grimsby’s future.

Share your new ideas

We want to hear your ideas for the future of Grimsby. Ideas might be small changes to daily life or big ambitions that could transform the town. All your contributions will be shared with the relevant working groups, helping them spot new opportunities, fill gaps and connect with what’s already happening. You can share your ideas with us during the event or via our online form.

Celebrating what’s already great

This plan is about the future of Grimsby, but it’s also about recognising the brilliant things happening right now. The Grimsby Together website has a new map highlighting everything from community projects and local businesses to creative initiatives and environmental action across Grimsby. We want to hear of great work already happening, so if you know of a project making a difference, let us know via our online form, or during the event.

Get involved

Join the event on Thursday 25th September to talk to people in the working groups and find out progress so far. This plan belongs to everyone and every voice adds something valuable. Together, Grimsby can grow a future that works for all.
