The UK is on the cusp of a green transition which will generate huge wealth and opportunity. Historically, we haven’t managed economic transitions well. We’ve created winners and losers, with parts of this country still suffering from the loss of industries – this loss can be seen in every marker of quality of life.
We are a country of widening inequality where health, education and mortality are determined by where you live and traditional approaches have repeatedly failed to address these issues.
Our Future committed to do things differently. To learn from the mistakes of the past and to write a new story – one in which the future benefits all of us and where we thrive in the hometowns we love.
There are brilliant people across the country rolling up their sleeves to build the community, neighbourhood and future they dream of. But they are often working in isolation. Imagine what would happen if they had the backing they need.
We’re working in a new way. A way that brings together local leaders and communities to create their own vision and support them to transform the home towns they love.
Our Future is a catalyst. A lightening rod to connect ideas and local energy, to resources and a national network. We work with many amazing people, and we are just one ingredient of the whole.
