Supporting communities across the North of England
We’re thrilled to welcome Ben Robinson as Our Future’s new Place Lead, supporting communities across the North of England, with a particular focus on Rochdale with our partnership with For Generations to Come.
Ben has spent the last four years at the Centre for Social Justice, working directly with outstanding grassroots organisations and boosting their work through amplifying their voice and directing funding to them. Most recently, he was the Regional Portfolio Manager for the CSJ Foundation, convening excellent regional voices for ‘Big Listen’ events, ensuring local voices shape national conversations and driving change on a range of issues from the future of the charity sector to a better future for the ‘Lost Boys’.
Previously, Ben was a teacher in Leicester and Leeds, focusing on SEND support and ensuring all pupils had the best possible opportunity to succeed. He initially left teaching to lead a research project by the Centre for Social Justice on the persistent attainment gap in England’s schools. He also volunteers as a trustee at Clean Slate Solutions, supporting ex-offenders into quality employment.
