arts & Culture

Creative people lead a vibrant cultural scene — celebrating Grimsby’s history, future and collective identity.

A Creative Town with a Bold Identity

Grimsby’s creative talent, cultural heritage and energy give it everything needed to lead a thriving arts and culture scene. In ten years, could creative people be driving a vibrant programme — from music festivals to murals, from theatre to community events — all celebrating Grimsby’s identity and future? This mission is about building that momentum now, together.

How You Can Get Involved

Choose how you’d like to take part. Whether you’re brimming with ideas, already doing great work, or just want to stay in the loop, there’s a way to contribute. Click below to jump to the right part of this page.

A Creative Collaboration

This work is all about “joining the dots” and so this is the one mission area where we are going to use an existing board. The NE Lincs Creative Board has been established for a very similar purpose and so will push forward this work.

Highlight Great Work in this space

Are you already running creative projects, performances, or cultural events in Grimsby? We’d love to hear about them. Your work helps shape this mission and could inspire others or be featured in the final plan.

Got a Big Idea?

Bold, ambitious ideas – big and small are welcome — from creative hubs and art takeovers to accessible town centre events. If it supports the creative scene in Grimsby and builds a thriving future, we want to hear it. Tell us your idea and how it contributes to this shared ambition.

Built by us

Together we will build a plan for Grimsby. One shaped by the ideas, insight and leadership of people from across the town who are already rolling up their sleeves to build the future.
By connecting the great work already happening, surfacing new priorities, and doing this work together, we can make sure the Plan for Neighbourhoods delivers lasting change where it matters most.
