Bringing experience in social innovation and community-led change
We’re delighted to welcome Angela Francis to Our Future as Head of Scaling. Angela brings 15 years of experience in building approaches that create lasting impact, social innovation, programme and funding design.
Angela has been passionate about making positive change throughout her career, working across the humanitarian, international development and social impact sectors. She focuses on doing things differently, shifting power to communities and building the relationships and infrastructure needed for sustainable change.
Before joining Our Future, Angela helped to establish a new Innovation function for The National Lottery Community Fund focused on equity-based approaches to better serve historically underserved communities. She has also led global innovation portfolios at Plan International and Elrha’s Humanitarian Innovation Fund, championing participatory grant-making, building cross-sector partnerships and advancing girl-centred design and anti-racist practices.
Earlier in her career, Angela worked with the UN World Food Programme, Population Services International and the US Peace Corps in Mozambique, bringing human-centred design approaches to emergency response, health service delivery and community development.
She is passionate about collaborative working, building trust-based partnerships and creating the conditions for communities to lead their own change.
