A town with shared ambition
In 2024, people across Grimsby came together through the Grimsby Together project to imagine the future they want to see. From stronger neighbourhoods and safer streets to better opportunities for young people and a greener town, a shared vision began to take shape.
Moving that vision forward
Grimsby has now been awarded £20 million through the national Plan for Neighbourhoods programme, backed by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). This funding marks an exciting next step to help build the future we’ve imagined with the money arriving gradually from April 2026 and spread over ten years.
The pot is significant but not everything. That’s why we’re working together now to think carefully about how this funding can do the most good by supporting local ideas, linking with other great work already underway and backing the ambitions of the people who know Grimsby best.
