Applications for the Fund and Governance Taskforce are open

Are you interested in helping to shape how Grimsby invests in its future?

A £20 million opportunity for long-term change

Grimsby has been awarded £20 million through the government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods programme, backed by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

We’ve got until November 2025 to shape a plan for how this money could be used to help build a better future. The funding will be released gradually, starting from April 2026 and delivered over ten years.

  • 75% will be capital funding for things like buildings and infrastructure.
  • 25% will be revenue funding, which can fund things like running costs or developing new ideas.

Why We Need a Fund and Governance Taskforce

The role of the taskforce is to think through how this money can be used to drive sustainable, long term change and could unlock wider action to build the future we all care about.

The taskforce will be supported by Key Fund, alongside the Our Future team to think through different models that could ensure that the funding:

  • Delivers long-term change
  • Backs action led by local people
  • Keeps money flowing locally
  • Is transparent, flexible and built for long-term change

Are You Interested in Joining the Grimsby Taskforce?

This is an opportunity to think through how the money can best support the ideas, hopes and values of the people who live here.

If that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we would love to hear from you.

Download the application pack and apply to join the Fund & Governance Taskforce using this link: Application Pack. Applications close Wednesday, 23rd July.
