Jet Powell has joined Our Future as Operations Director, bringing her expertise as we support towns across the UK to build a thriving future.
Joining as Our Future works to scale its impact and embed change for the long term, Jet will work closely with the Our Future team and wider movement to establish the infrastructure needed to support civic entrepreneurs in shaping thriving hometowns. She has spent the last 15 years at Social Finance, leading the operational delivery of initiatives working in diverse areas – from supporting ex-offenders with the first social impact bond, to working with education and health partners. Prior to this she spent 10 years focussing on housing, regeneration, and homelessness in Portsmouth.
Jet’s superpower lies in making things happen. She builds the structures, systems and culture that sustain long-term, citizen-led change. It is about the relationships alongside the systems – “she brings the glitter as well as the glue.”
Taking up the role from the start of April, Jet will be working across the organisation and will focus on putting in place the operational backbone that will enable scale, sustainability and joy.
