David Robinson

David Robinson is a community development worker in east London. He has worked on social innovation for almost fifty years founding and leading several organizations including the Relationships Project –  now his primary occupation (see https://relationshipsproject.org

David led the Prime Ministers Council on Social Action from 2007 to 2010 and chaired the National Early Action Task Force from 2010 to 2016. 

He led Community Links from his Mum’s kitchen table to the Community Enterprise of the Year award,  was the inaugural Practitioner in Residence at the LSE’s Marshall Institute,  holds an honorary doctorate from the Open University and is an Ashoka Senior Fellow, once described by the Guardian as “the godfather of the community sector, equally admired on the left and right”.  

David is chair of the Flying Seagulls https://www.theflyingseagullproject.com/about-us/,  bringing laughter and play to children in  troubled places across the world.
