Historically, we haven’t managed economic transitions well. We’ve created winners and losers, with parts of this country thriving and others losing industry but also community and identity. This loss can be seen in every marker of quality of life.
Our Future is committed to approach this industrial revolution differently.
To contribute to a future that benefits everyone and where we can all thrive in the hometowns we love.
We believe an alternative way is possible and that our national renewal needs to be delivered through a different model.
We back people who are rolling up their sleeves to build a flourishing future in the hometowns they love. We create the ecosystem of support they need.
Connecting the national to the local, bringing vital resources and networks, telling a new story and creating a collective for change.
The foundation of our work is the five Our Future principles. These have been
developed through our ongoing work in Grimsby, our decades of experience and academic insight.
Grimsby and the North East Lincs is the founding location of Our Future.
We are collaborating with hundreds of people to develop a new approach and demonstrate the change that is possible.
Since 2021, we’ve been developing a joyful new way of working that celebrates the town, roots the ambitions for the town in a shared history and supports action that to Bold in Hope and Bold in Scope.
